Budapest is the capital of Hungary and one of largest cities in the European Union and lies in Central Hungary. Budapest has a population of 1,759,407 distributed over a land area of about 525 square kilometres.  It is a leading global city with strengths in commerce, media, art, finance, education, technology and research. It is a leading research & Development and financial centre and the highest ranked Central and Eastern European city on top Innovation cities. Budapest is ranked as 'the world's 2nd best city' by Conde Nast traveller and 'Europe's 7th most idyllic place to live' by Forbes. The Budapest had a GDP of $284.266 billion in 2017.

Budapest has a humid continental climate with relatively cold winters and warm summers. The annual precipitation in Budapest is around 596.9mm. On average, there are 84 days with precipitation and 1988 hours of sunshine each year. The major attractions in Budapest is the neo-Gothic  Parliament, the biggest building in with 268 meters length, containing amongst other things the Hungarian Crown jewels.  Castle hill and the Castle District there are three churches here, six museums and a host of intresting building. There are many municipal parks and most have playgrounds for children but the most notable and popular parks in Budapest are the City Park which was established in 1751 along with Andrassy Avenue. Budapest is packed with galleries and museums, and there are Roman remains at Aquincum Museum and another historical museum is the House of Terror, hosted in the building that was the venue of the Nazi Headquarters. The culture of Budapest is reflected by Budapest’s size and variety.  Most Hungarian cultural movements first emerged in the city and it is an important centre for music, film, theatre, dance and visual art. Budapest is the headquarters of the Hungarian LGBT community.
